When u jump in the water the sprint button is auto disabled but as a player with 2x swim u actually swim faster if u enable run in the water so basically u have to run in the water to enable 2x swim

I have reviewed this and this is the same as for players on PC and Console. 2x swim speed is faster once you tap the sprint button, it just allows you to swim at the normal and much faster speed! Hope this helps
